Paris Saint-Germain continues to hold hope of renewing the contract of their French forward, Kylian Mbappé, during the current season.

Mbappé's current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and reports suggest that he may move to Real Madrid for free.

The French newspaper "L'Équipe" stated, "Paris has not lost hope of renewing Mbappé's contract, for several reasons, most notably the numerous changes that have occurred in the team, including the departure of Neymar da Silva (which strained their relationship)."

Paris is also betting on convincing Mbappé to stay by signing international players from the French national team, such as Lucas Hernandez, Randal Kolo Muani, and Ousmane Dembélé, which has greatly pleased Kylian.

It was pointed out that Lionel Messi's departure has made Mbappé feel like he is at the heart of Paris's current project, in addition to the fact that his brother, Ethan, appearing with the first team has improved his mood.

Mbappé's inclination towards signing a new contract is supported by the fact that his relationship with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has improved.

L'Équipe concluded, "The final motivation that could bring Mbappé closer to renewing will be the strong performance that Paris may deliver in the UEFA Champions League this season under the leadership of the new coach, Luis Enrique."
