Jose Mourinho makes call to Real Madrid over a swap deal

JOSE MOURINHO is reportedly in contact with Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez over a potential swap deal
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho faces the prospect of losing David De Gea this summer with Zinedine Zidane eager to sign Spain's No1.

De Gea is thought to be open to the idea of a switch to the Bernabeu and Spanish publication Diario Gol claim Mourinho is now beginning to accept that he can't stop the 26-year-old joining Madrid.
However, Mourinho will not let him leave without getting something in return.
They claim the Portuguese boss has contacted Perez to discuss the terms of James Rodriguez moving in the opposite direction.

The Colombian looks set to leave Madrid at the end of the season with the option of reuniting with Mourinho on the cards
But a fee for Rodriguez is proving difficult to agree with Perez valuing him at around £42m.

However, Mourinho wants the midfielder's valuation drastically lowered if De Gea is set to join Madrid.

De Gea remains under contract with United until 2019, while Rodriguez's current deal with Madrid runs until 2020.
