Juventus striker Paolo Dybala has refused to compare himself to fellow Barcelona star Lionel Messi , some persistent reports of his move to the Catalan club.
Dybala, 23, has long been described as the new Messi because of his great talent, but the player has confirmed that each player has his own qualities, unlike the other.
The comparison will be serious on the pitch when Juventus and Barcelona meet in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Dybala has a remarkable record with Juventus scoring 14 goals in all competitions this season.
"People must know that I am not Messi, I'm Dybala, and I want to be only Dybala," Marca quoted the player as saying.
"I understand that there are comparisons, but there is only one Messi, as there was only one Maradona, you can not replace them, but I will try to compensate them by giving my best."
